For Depilación Láser Canarias the answers to these few and simple questions are fundamental, because they help us to know ourselves better. One of these surveys, which we call “Satisfaction Survey. Information”, is given to our customers the first time they come to our clinic, after receiving from our team the information requested. Answering this questionnaire takes just a few minutes, but for us the answers are “gold”, telling us the degree of user satisfaction. For each question there are multiple answers thus saving our customers’ time. In this way, we get to know how you discovered us, how you rate the friendliness with which you have been received and the quality of information given (two very important aspects for us), if your doubts about laser depilation have been clarified and the possibility of taking a treatment session with us. Finally there is a section where you may include your comments and suggestions, all with the ultimate aim of improving our service to you.

The second is called “Satisfaction Survey. Treatment” and comes after our clients receive their depilation sessions. Logically, this has a greater number of questions, but we also include multiple answers to make the questionnaire easier. As in the previous survey, every one of the answers are measured and analysed to gain a more comprehensive level of satisfaction so we can correct any problems that our customers tell us. In this questionnaire we asked how they rate the depilation sessions, the punctuality, the friendliness of the staff (both administrative and medical), if any skin problem have occurred after the session, if there have been any large areas where the hair has not been removed, the results obtained, whether they would recommend Depilación Láser Canarias to others and, finally, a section on comments and suggestions.

Both surveys are completed by our customers on an iPad, which allows greater comfort for the user and effectiveness for us when we download and analyse the answers.

For us, our monthly meeting is very special, personal and professional. It is difficult for the whole team to coincide due to our day-to-day working routine and different shifts, so it is stimulating for us to catch up on our lives, our families and the occasional bit of gossip

Above all, the objective of these sessions is to improve our services by developing the quality of our professional skills focusing wholly on the complete satisfaction of any person who comes to us for our laser depilation sessions.

Our monthly clinic sessions allow us to keep up to date with the protocols which arise from the annual Laser Depilation congress held in the United States (by which we abide) as well as other medical/scientific articles, specialist publications and courses related to our field. This more theoretical aspect forms the backbone of the tuition and allows us to stay at the forefront of all the latest developments and techniques of our profession.

Another important aspect of our sessions, and one which we treat with the upmost seriousness, are the clinical cases which may have arisen over the previous month as well as any treatment-related doubts and a unification of our solutions. We mainly use digital media such as presentations, videos and photographs as a way of identifying, studying and solving these clinical cases.

The fact is that these clinic sessions are undeniably indispensable for us as we witness first-hand and on a daily basis just how much they help us provide an even more professional and efficient service.

We too want to contribute to promoting the carnival, the city’s most engaging and popular event, and are doing so through our advertising. But, from all these moments, the one which we lived most intensely was the candidates parade. And while the other candidates performed with their magnificent costumes, we nervously awaited Anabel’s turn. But above all, the moment when Carlos Castilla announced her entrance was indescribable. And there she was, while “Un bel id” by Malena Ernman http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fObDLicJIA8–, Anabel made her grand entrance elegantly wearing the Miguel Cruz designed fantasy costume “Lágrimas del Sol”. The costume in which all our hopes rested on was amazing and I would like to take the opportunity to sincerely thank Miguel and his team for all the hard work and dedication which went into making such an outstanding creation.

We held our breath while Anabel marvelously performed her routine. We counted on her and knew she’d do her upmost; she certainly did. At the end of her routine, and nearing the end of the catwalk, we overheard the cries of “Beauty!” from an audience having a great time and we thought- Mission accomplished; now… whatever will be, will be.

The moment of truth had arrived. The judges gave their marks and by the end we were in seventh place, but, still to come was the audience’s vote. When it came, we erupted with joy! Thanks to your votes, each and every-one of you, we went up to third place which gave Anabel the Third Maid of Honor title in the Las Palmas de Gran Canaria Carnival. The moment we heard her name called, we leaped, hugged each-other and cried… we were totally overjoyed!

All that remains is to thank you all for your support, your warmth and the kindness of all your congratulatory messages. Without you we wouldn’t have made it. THANK YOU ALL for making the night of February 3rd 2012 live in our hearts forever!

Anabel, who is already part of our “family” has been kind enough to answer a few questions so that we can all get to know her better.

1. What lies behind your decision to be a candidate? Have you at any time regretted this decision specially in the light of what might be coming your way?

I love new adventures and challenges, but above all it’s because I feel very close to this Gala in particular. I’ve been trying for a few years to get this far and now that I have, I’ll make the most of it, give it my all and do the best I can.

I never regret the things I do and in this case even less so. I don’t consider the Gala to be a competition but as an event where the focus is on having fun and enjoying the wonderful spectacle.

2. Doesn’t the responsibility of getting up on stage at the Gala, one of the island’s most important events, frighten you?

Not only doesn’t it frighten me, it delights me as it’s a dream come true. Maybe the only thing that scares me is letting down the people who have backed me, from the team at Depilación Láser Canarias, without whom I wouldn’t be here, to my friends and family especially my 15 month old baby girl who imitates me when she hears the music which will be played during my performance.

I want all of them to feel happy and content with my role in the Gala, so the pressure to do well becomes a great motivation to give them a 100 percent.

3. We know that you can’t give away any details about the costume you’ll be wearing designed by Miguel Cruz, but tell us, are you comfortable with it and in it?

Absolutely yes. I fell in love with it the first time I saw it and heard its name: Lágrimas del Sol (The Sun’s tears). I can’t give anything away but I will tell you that I’m very proud to wear it. I hope to wear it as well as it deserves.

4. From our Facebook page, Bianca Cartafiore y Esmeralda Marto ask about what kind of physical preparation you’ve done to wear such a large and heavy costume for the Gala.

I’ve always played sports and I try to keep in shape, so I haven’t specifically done anything extra for the event. I don’t usually diet as I like my food, specially something sweet from time to time.

5. Surely your training as a dancer has helped you in the rehearsals and will do so for the Gala; but, but to what extent has it helped?

It’s had a great effect, above all because dancing helps you know how to control your body and feel at ease on a stage. Being strong is also important and dance helps build up strength.

6. Are you superstitious? Will you wear something or do something special before the Gala to bring you luck?

No, I’m not superstitious. What I do have is faith; my grandmother was a catechist which she taught to the rest of the family. I’m a very positive person and firmly believe in the light which each one of us radiates.

7. At times like this nerves are inevitable. Do you have any tricks to beat them?

On occasions when I’ve had to perform, the nerves have been a stimulus to get out there with more energy. Hopefully, this time it will be the same. However, I know that as soon as I start to feel the audience’s warmth, I’ll focus on that and forget the rest.

8. So, Anabel, if you win what will be the first thing that goes through your mind?

I’m sure that I’ll be thinking about my daughter, as she’s always there whatever I do. Who knows, maybe when she’s old enough and wants to do the same as I, without a doubt, I’ll be there to give her all my support.

But I’ll also be thinking about and very grateful to the whole Depilación Láser Canarias team who have treated me so well specially Mari Paz Rancho who has supported me with all her great advice. And, of course, my profound gratitude to Miguel Cruz for designing the wonderful costume which I’ll have the honour to wear on such a special occasion. To all these people, I can only express my thanks and hope not to let them down.

Without going into too much technical detail, we would like to point out some of the advantages this new system offers with respect to the older version. Firstly, it is much faster thereby reducing the time a session takes. Secondly, it adapts to and is more efficient with different skin-tones and hair colour and thickness. This is good news for dark-skinned people as it offers them greater protection.

The new system also allows each session to be personalized by choosing the exact parameters each individual person needs for their type of skin thereby increasing the speed, security and comfort of the treatment. It’s also important to point out how the new cooling system prevents any possible side effects, reduces any pain and achieves more efficient results thanks to its higher energy usage.
